What are Cabin and Engine Air Filters?

Being informed about the various parts of your car and how often they should be serviced or replaced is a highly important part of car ownership. That's why we here at M & M Lincoln wanted to be sure you know the basics of your engine and cabin air filters.

First, lets discuss how often they should be changed. Experts recommend replacing them either every 30,000 miles or three years, whichever should come first. This will prevent the filters from getting too clogged and keep them operating normally.

So what exactly do these filters even do? The purpose of a cabin filter is to keep you from breathing in dust and other irritants that could negatively impact your breathing. Similarly, the engine air filter is designed to keep this same dust, dirt, and grime out of your engine so that it can continue to run optimally for you.
